Classes
All Abilities class is for everyone, who has done an Introduction to Pilates session. In this class we move, stretch, mobilise the spine, strengthen abdominal muscles, unwind with mindful breathing or short relaxation. We go through standing, laying, side-lying, prone and four point kneeling positions in this class.
Before joining this class for the first time, you will be invited to have one individual session online or in person.
Mat Pilates is a class based on the mat. We go through short warm up standing, then we go into laying, side-lying, prone and four point kneeling positions in this class.
Standing and Chair class is for those, who choose not to go down on to the mat. We exercise STANDING and using the CHAIR for balance and coordination practice, strength of your legs, flexibility of your spine, working your upper body. We also strengthen your core.
Over 50s Pilates - In this class we go through a variety of exercises in safe, relaxed manner, move to tone, stretch and unwind.
PilatesQi - is a gentle but powerful Pilates class with Qigong elements. Qigong is an ancient movement meditation practice, which helps to improve your energy levels, calm your body , mind, while improving your balance and coordination.
Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is an ancient Chinese healing art and self-cultivation system. This includes simple, gentle movement, posture, breathing techniques, self-massage and meditation. "Qi" can be translated as life energy or vital force and "Gong" as cultivation or skill. Thus, when we practise Qigong we are cultivating life energy to improve and balance our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. The beauty of Qigong, aside from its incredible healing power, is its suitability for all ages and abilities including those with limited mobility. It requires no special equipment or clothing and can be practised indoors or outdoors.
Individual sessions . If you are a new to Pilates, with chronic condition, recovery from injury, pregnant or just had a baby you will benefit from special attention and care.
